You fix the tool to the hub using the provided flange nut, position it at the 12 o'clock position (important!), then give the end a good whack with a 5-pound or heavier hammer.

A few solid strikes and that hub should pop right off without damaging your axles.

We include a complete set of flange nuts so you're covered for most applications: 12mm-1.50, 14mm-1.50, 7/16-20, 1/2-20, 9/16-18, and 5/8-18.
